Single-Arm Continuous Resin Sand Mixing
S242, S243, S245 and S248 are single-arm continuous mixers for resin-sand preparation. Mixing results depend on sand condition, binder chemistry, dosing setup and the selected operating configuration.

Selection conditions: Capacity is model-specific nominal throughput. Actual feed rate, binder delivery and usable operating range depend on recipe, viscosity and the selected metering equipment. Main motor power is not total installed power; resin/hardener pumps, controls and other auxiliaries must be included in the approved electrical load list. Trough dimensions, rotation speed and installation clearances require the selected-model documentation.
Control and Metering Options
BASIC: Manual pump adjustment without PLC. PLUS: PLC and automatic mode / recipe control where selected. These are configuration options for the same mechanical models, not separate machine models.
Binder dosing: Metering performance is established over the calibrated operating range using pump-flow calibration and recipe test records. Confirm the actual calibrated range and acceptance criteria for the selected equipment; no universal numerical dosing-accuracy guarantee is stated.
Layout and maintenance: Allow for the stated working radius, sand feed, separate chemical storage and metering routes, maintenance access and project anchoring/platform requirements. Final layout and service provisions follow the selected GA and equipment configuration.
Inspection and acceptance: Required functional, load and dosing tests are defined in the agreed inspection plan. Test completion or certified performance is supported by the actual equipment records, not assumed for all models.
Process and Safety Conditions
- Recommended process environment: 20–30°C and 40–60% relative humidity are process recommendations, not absolute machine operating limits. Sand temperature and binder reaction requirements must be reviewed for the actual recipe.
- Resin compatibility: Furan and phenolic no-bake systems can be supported with the appropriate configuration. Other binder systems require checks of pumps, seals, viscosity, corrosion resistance and hardener compatibility.
- Chemical separation: Separate storage, pumps and metering lines, together with the specified injection arrangement, are defined and verified for the selected system. Do not directly mix resin and hardener outside the approved process.
- Sand thermal conditioning: Heating or cooling is an optional / project-engineered system, not a standard feature of every S24 mixer. The required arrangement follows sand temperature and binder-process requirements.
- On-site integration: Layout, utilities, operating safeguards and startup configuration are confirmed for the actual foundry installation.
