Engineering Starts With the Workpiece

Start with the part and the process it must enter and leave. Record each input before comparing a machine architecture or operating concept.

Machine Selection & Process Design

Evaluate the complete part range, geometry, mass, areas to be treated, handling method and production cycle together. Define the incoming surface and the accepted output before comparing machine families.

Use drawings, representative parts and an agreed review method to resolve uncertainties. A category name or maximum part size alone does not establish process fit.

Surface Requirement & Acceptance

Record cleanliness and surface-profile requirements separately, together with the substrate, downstream process and agreed inspection method.

This Hub does not assign a cleanliness grade, profile value or compliance result. Those requirements must come from the applicable project or process specification and be confirmed for the actual work.

Abrasive & Blast Wheel Inputs

Review the treatment objective, workpiece sensitivity, permitted abrasive range, working mix and recovery path as connected inputs.

Blast-wheel arrangement, quantity, position, power and flow remain configuration-specific. They must not be inferred from a general Hub or transferred between machine models.

System Design Inputs

Define throughput at the boundary of the complete operating cycle, including loading, treatment, inspection, unloading, changeover and expected product mix.

Review abrasive circulation, separation, dust collection and waste handling within the same operating boundary. Do not substitute a component rating for accepted production output or site performance.

Integration Inputs

Document available space, foundations, utilities, lifting and conveying, operator access, maintenance access and upstream or downstream interfaces.

State the required operating sequence, controls, interlocks and handover conditions for the actual line. Automation language alone does not define the process, acceptance criteria or supplier scope.

Acceptance & Lifecycle Planning

Agree what will be reviewed before shipment, after installation and before production release. Define the responsible parties, test conditions, records and acceptance method for the actual supply.

Evaluate acquisition, installation, utilities, consumables, maintenance, changeovers and interruption exposure within one stated comparison boundary. Do not assume a universal saving, payback period or service life.
